Built for purpose. When time matters.

ERC was founded to close Europe's critical capability gap in the sky. Two full-scale demonstrators. Two EU records. Built for the missions that cannot wait.

2020

ERC System is founded.

Founded in Germany, with one clear mandate: Apply electrified aviation technology to make real-world solutions to real-world challenges. No scaled-down prototypes. No Powerpoint-first approach. Full-scale, flight-proven, mission-led from day one.

ERC was built on partnerships that matter. IABG, one of Europe's leading technical and scientific services provider in defence and aerospace, has been our founding investor and strategic anchor since day one. DRF Luftrettung, one of Germany's leading operators of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), joined as operational partner, bringing real-world mission requirements directly into our development process. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Florian Holzapfel of TU Munich provides ongoing R&D guidance and academic rigour.

2021

Echo is built. Ground-testing begins.

2021 marked the start of ERC's build phase. The core engineering team took shape and the general platform architecture was chosen. In 2022, the first real-world validation followed: the start of the ground testing campaign for Echo, ERC's first full-scale, full-mass demonstrator.

2023

Echo lifts off.

In 2023, Echo first took off. At 2,730 kilograms, it was one of the heaviest full-mass eVTOL demonstrators flown in continental Europe at the time.

2024

Revealing Romeo: Purpose-built for critical medical transport missions.

In 2024, ERC revealed Romeo, the second full-scale, full-mass demonstrator and the direct predecessor to the production platform. Purpose-built for its launch mission profile, the transport of medical patients between hospitals and in (post-) primary care.

2025

Romeo takes off.

In 2025, Romeo became the largest and heaviest electric VTOL aircraft to date to take off in the EU. At 2,735 kilograms, it set a European record and validated five years of engineering during the subsequent flight test campaign.

2026

Revealing Victor U250.

ERC presents Victor U250 to the public for the first time during ILA Berlin 2026.

2028

Victor U250 enters series production.

Uncrewed hybrid-electric logistics platform. 250 kg payload, 300 km mission radius, air-drop without landing. Civil & military variants.

2030+

Charlie C700 crewed.

Crewed heavy eVTOL on the EASA certification path. HEMS, passenger and emergency response. Built on the proven foundation of the unmanned programme.

The Leadership behind the programme.

ERC is built by specialists with combined decades of experience in electrified aircraft development and technology startups. The team that flew the EU's heaviest electrified aircraft is the same team now building the first production platform.

The Specialists behind the programme.

ERC's programme is driven by specialists with hands-on experience in electrified and conventional aircraft development, defence engineering, and customer-centric requirements design. Every discipline is covered by people who have done it before.

Always Building.
Always hiring.

Some programs promise to change aviation. We already changed it. Now we're scaling and we're looking for the people who want to be part of what comes next.
