About the role

As Aircraft Technician / Fluggeräteelektroniker, you are responsible for supporting the hands-on build, integration and testing of our eVTOL prototype - bringing the aircraft from the CAD model to the flight test range.

Your primary focus lies on complex avionic installations, electrical integration and precise mechanical work, requiring a holistic understanding of the complete aircraft rather than simply following predefined instructions.

This is not a purely execution-focused role - you will be an active member of the Build & Test team, identifying issues, proposing practical solutions and ensuring that systems are installed, assembled and tested with the required level of quality, reliability and attention to detail.

Ideally, you bring an EASA Part-66 CAT B2 license, or a combined B1/B2 background, and are comfortable working across both electrical/avionic and mechanical tasks in a prototype environment.

Operating in an eVTOL startup environment, this role requires flexibility, ownership and a hands-on mindset. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and flight test teams to help turn our aircraft design into a functional and test-ready prototype.

What you will do

  • Perform end-to-end assembly and integration of eVTOL prototypes, including avionics, flight controllers, high-voltage drivetrain components and mechanical structures.
  • Fabricate, route and install aerospace-grade wire harnesses, sensors, connectors and related electrical components.
  • Perform continuity checks, functional tests and troubleshooting of electrical and avionic systems.
  • Execute precision mechanical assembly tasks, including the installation of actuators, landing gear components, cooling systems and structural parts.
  • Handle and install carbon-fiber composite components such as CFRP structural parts with the required care and accuracy.
  • Support flight test operations as part of the test crew, including pre-flight checks, electrical health monitoring, startup and shutdown support, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and integration issues in close collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Support rapid hardware iterations during fitting, integration and test activities, including practical on-the-spot solutions such as drilling, shimming, reworking or re-wiring.
  • Carry out modifications and repairs on prototype aircraft to support build progress and flight test readiness.
  • Maintain precise build logs, including documentation of mechanical modifications, electrical configurations and system changes.
  • Support the preparation and execution of aircraft inspections, functional checks and test-readiness reviews.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve build quality, system reliability, maintainability and test efficiency.
