About the role
As Working Student Executive Office - CEO & CTO, your mission is to increase the leverage of our leadership team by taking ownership of coordination, preparation, research, follow-up, and operational support tasks across critical company topics.
We are hiring two working students through this role: one to work closely with our CEO and one to work closely with our CTO. While the exact focus may differ depending on the role, both positions are designed to create structure, clarity, and momentum in a fast-moving aerospace environment.
You will gain direct exposure to strategic, technical, and operational topics at the core of building a next-generation aviation company. At the same time, this is not a pure strategy internship.
A meaningful part of the role consists of recurring and ad hoc assistant tasks that are essential for keeping leadership effective. Some assignments will be highly interesting and visible. Others will be routine but equally important.
We are looking for people who are smart, highly reliable, structured, and professional — and who are just as willing to execute thoroughly as to think independently.
What you will do
What you’ll do in your day-to-day:
- Support ERC’s C-level and senior leadership in day-to-day operations and coordination
- Assist in the planning, tracking, and execution of company-wide strategic initiatives
- Take ownership of internal, company-wide communication processes and materials
- Prepare analyses, presentations, and briefing materials for leadership meetings
- Lead and execute selected cross-functional projects
- Assist in preparation of internal events
- Foster internal communication and knowledge sharing across teams
- Support the Chief of Staff in governmental affairs and external relations
- Contribute to external communications, including employer branding, marketing, media relations, product demonstrations, trade fairs, and meetings with senior political stakeholders
what you bring
- You are currently studying towards a degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or similar at a top-tier university, ideally at the end of your bachelor’s degree or currently studying towards your master’s.
- You have gained first experience through projects or internships in consulting, strategy departments, deep tech startups, or in similarly fast-paced environments.
- You have first experience or a strong, demonstrable interest in fields such as aerospace, defense, or deep tech.
- You are a communicative team player with solid organization skills, a conceptual mindset, and a bias towards execution.
- Are highly proficient in using AI tools to generate fast, high-quality output across research, writing, analysis, and preparation tasks
- Apply strong judgment when working with AI: you validate outputs carefully, challenge weak reasoning, and never treat generated content as final without review
- You pair strong oral and written communication skills (incl. in English) with excellent practical MS Office skills.
- Fluency in English is a must, working proficiency in German is a plus.
- Your citizenship or visa status allows you to work legally in Germany.
- You are available for a minimum of 6 months.
What we offer
- Full-scale aerospace engineering — not concept slides.
- A 60+ engineer team at Ottobrunn, backed by IABG and developed alongside TUM and DRF Luftrettung.
- Competitive compensation.
